Saturday Morning – 9:30 AM [10:00 AM virtually during COVID-19 restrictions]
Our Shabbat morning service is conducted primarily in Hebrew, with the inclusion of English prayers, using Siddur Sim Shalom. We read Torah on the triennial cycle, with congregants following in the Etz Ḥayim Ḥumash. A D’var Torah [presentation or discussion related to the Torah portion] is included. As an egalitarian synagogue, men and women participate equally at all levels. Congregants are invited to partake in a way that is comfortable for them – with honors such as aliyot, Ark openings, carrying or lifting/dressing the Torah or leading English readings. The service concludes with the Kiddush, followed by a buffet lunch.
